Ed Mangano Promotes New Nassau County Property Tax Payment System

MINEOLA, NY (WCBS 880) – Nassau County is implementing a new property tax grievance system that settles disputed assessments before payment.

That avoids the complicated and costly payback process.

County Executive Ed Mangano says that results in millions in annual savings for both the county and taxpayers.

“The winners here are Nassau County and all governments in Nassau County that do not have to now provide a refund that contains interest payments, legal fees, and other administrative costs,” he said.

Mangano admits  that the new system is not perfect, saying it needs to be more efficient.

    Here’s the man who plastered placards reading “Tax Revolt” all over Nassau County, then tried to dupe us into funding a new Nassau Coliseum as well as a new minor-league ballpark. He’s willing to p*ss away millions on sports nonsense and use construction worker thugs to intimidate, but to hell with 100,000 LI Bus Riders. Impeach Mangano!!!
