Service Changes On 7 Subway Line Continue Into Monday

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Subway service changes will continue into Monday as the MTA works to install a new train control system along the 7 train. The service changes will affect as many as 280,000 subway riders.

Until 5 a.m. on Monday, Queensboro Plaza-bound trains will skip 69, 52, 46, 40 and 33 Street stations, and no trains will run between Queensboro Plaza and Times Square-42nd Street.

The disruptions between Queensboro Plaza and Times Square-42nd Street are scheduled for the next four weekends.

Flushing-bound trains will skip 33, 40, 46, 52 and 69 Street stations between 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday.

The E, F, N, Q, S and free shuttle buses will provide alternate service.

In addition to the 7, many other services changes are in effect as the MTA continues working on projects throughout its entire system.
