LINDEN, NJ (CBS 2) – An argument over payment turned ugly at a gas station in Linden, New Jersey.

Police say it started when a driver asked to pay for his gas with a check early Monday morning. The attendant refused, saying it’s not store policy.

That’s when the man allegedly got upset and rammed his mini-van several times into the attendant’s booth, with the worker inside.

The driver then took off.  The attendant was not hurt.

Police are still looking for the driver.
