B&C Morning Show: Cracks In Jets' Armor; Joe Girardi Offers Excuses

With the Jets' trade of Derrick Mason Tuesday night to the Houston Texans for a conditional seventh-round draft pick, Craig declares that the fans have been lied to and that we're starting to see cracks in Rex Ryan's armor.

Mason was of course in the middle of the mutiny claim reported by Daily News sports writer Manish Mehta this past Sunday (Al Dukes reached-out to Mehta, but he declined an invitation to join the program - which Boomer had a bit of a problem with) and now he is a former Jet after just five games in the green and white.

Boomer & Craig discussed the many levels of Mason's departure and the current state of Rex's Gang Green, who are trying to figure out how to recover from their disappointing 2-3 start.  Craig is very thankful that the Jets have the Dolphins up next on their schedule Monday night at MetLife Stadium, a certain 'W' according to Craigie (take that for what it's worth).

Joe Girardi addressed the media for the final time yesterday and Craig didn't like the words he heard coming out of the Yankees skipper's mouth after the way they finished the season.  Girardi referenced luck - or lack thereof  -when talking about Alex Rodriguez's and Mark Teixeira's struggles in the offseason, which didn't sit too well.

Having played in New York for 3 years as the Jets QB, the Booms knows a thing or two about expectations, demands and criticism -- and he offered his take.

Rounding out the Open, Craig pointed out a producing gaffe by the esteemed executive producer of the B&C 'Morning Extravaganza' Al 'Hughes' who is unsure if he booked Jim Mora or Jim Mora Jr. to join the program today.

Two words: "poorly produced."

In his defense, Al did secure Carmelo Anthony to join the guys in the Allstate Studio during the 8 a.m. hour, so he has that going for him...
