What Does The Israel-Hamas Prisoner Swap Mean?

NEW YORK (CBS 2) – The future relationship between Israel and the Palestinian authority remains uncertain following this week’s prisoner exchange between Israel and Hamas.

Hamas agreed to free Gilad Shalit, an Israeli solider held captive for more than five years, in exchange for 1,000 Palestinian prisoners.

David A. Andelman, editor of the World Policy Journal, joins CBS 2 to discuss the impact that the prisoner swap has on the relationship between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.
