GroundLink Car & Limo Service has a new app for Android and iPhone that you can use to book a reservation.

Sure, you can still call or reserve a car in Manhattan through their website but GroundLink's Seth Laser is almost giddy over their new app.

"The mobile service is the future of ground transportation," he told WCBS 880's Paul Murnane. "Within two clicks, you'll have a car in five minutes."

Laser and GroundLink's Daniel Leone believe the "Ride Now" function under a tiny map of Manhattan with moving car icons on your phone is the next big thing.

"It's a flat rate for distance. So, as long as you didn't stop at the ATM to grab some cash or at Starbucks to grab some coffee, what you see on the app is what you will pay," Leone said.

He says New York, and increasingly the world, are places where so much of life in a little hand-held glass slab, pointing out that sales of mobile devices and tablets have exceeded personal computer sales.
