Antrel Rolle On WFAN: Giants Should 'Easily' Be 5-1

NEW YORK (WFAN) -- Antrel Rolle admits the Giants haven't been great.

But they also haven't been bad. And if not for a few plays, he says, New York "should easily be 5-1."

"Without a doubt," Rolle told WFAN's Joe Benigno and Evan Roberts on Wednesday. "It's the NFL, you know, some things are going to take place. You've got to live with it and move on from it.

"But overall, a 4-2 record, you can't be mad about that."

The Giants are set up nicely for their next game (Week 8) against the punchless Miami Dolphins. In fact, Rolle is spending his bye week "relaxing and chilling" at home in Miami. But don't expect him to travel to Sun Life Stadium for an in-person look at the Fins.

"I'm not going to the game, that's for sure," he said. "I'm not a Dolphins fan. But I will be tuned in."

Getting motivated to play a team as bad as Miami isn't tough, Rolle said. After all, this is the NFL -- and in pro football, the old phrase still rings true: "Any given Sunday."

"We have upsets each and every week throughout the league," Rolle said. "We don't plan on being an upset ... I'm sure the Giants as a team, as an organization, as players, we will be the best prepared team come Sunday."
