Jerry Recco began his Wednesday morning update talking about a trade pulled off yesterday between the Cincinnati Bengals (Who Dey!!!) and the Oakland Raiders that raised a few eyebrows around the league.

Carson Palmer goes to Oakland, while the Bengals get a couple of really good draft picks (first-round pick in 2012 and a 2013 second-round pick which could turn into a first rounder if the Raiders reach the AFC Championship this year or next).

As you know, Boomer is not a Bengals defender by any means, but even he couldn’t help but compliment the team’s owner, Mike Brown, for pulling off the deal to ship away the disgruntled 31-year-old Palmer.

From there we heard from Giants running back Brandon Jacobs, who vowed to play when the Giants return to the field October 30 against the Dolphins.  Craig was not in love with Jacob’s subdued tone and is not confident he will in fact play following Big Blue’s bye week.

Then Craig talked about personally beating the 264 lb. running back down – referring to online gaming, specifically the game ‘Call of Duty.’

“Johnny Bravo.”

Craig then talked about his desire to do some afternoon clubbing tomorrow following the show.  We heard from a somewhat less confident Rex Ryan and Boomer was all sorts of fired up with the Rangers finally getting their first win in four tries…
