Hudson Valley Humane Society President Killed While Fixing Roof In Ramapo

RAMAPO, NY (CBSNewYork/AP) — Raymond Mundy, the longtime president of the Hudson Valley Humane Society, died when the roof of a shed collapsed on him.

Mundy was killed Tuesday. His wife, Judy, found him pinned under the collapsed building in Ramapo when she came home from work.

The 68-year-old has been the president of the Humane Society for more than 20 years.

The group’s executive vice president, Ann Marie Gaudio, said the society lost someone who had great empathy for animals and people.
He also taught philosophy and business ethics as an adjunct professor at Rockland Community College.

  1. Starving Soaked Kittens says:

RIP. I don’t know why there are SO MANY stray kittens and cats out there. And people are deliberately starving them to death out of spite. Dried cat food is so cheap in 10, 12, 14 lb. bags. They don’t eat much, they just want some warmth and love, and WATER is FREE. They really do appreciate it. Please leave your shed door open an inch or two so the kittens can come in from the bitter cold and soaking rain. thank you.
