NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — One day after his arrest, charges are have been dropped against a man accused of groping a woman in Brooklyn.

The sex abuse charges against Joshua Flecha were dropped Wednesday afternoon because the alleged victim refused to sign the necessary paperwork, sources told 1010 WINS’ Carol D’Auria.

That source said that it was unclear if the alleged victim, who picked Flecha out of a police lineup on Tuesday, was unsure about her attacker’s identify or whether she got cold feet and didn’t want to further pursue the matter.

Officers in Brooklyn arrested Flecha early Monday morning after police said they saw him acting suspiciously near some parked cars on Greenwood Avenue and again on 17th Street.

Thinking he might be trying to break in to a car, police said officers approached Flecha and found marijuana on him. Officials said he was also holding a cell phone that was playing a pornographic video and his pants were unzipped at the time of his arrest.

The alleged victim had her breast grabbed near the F train stop in Sunset Park on May 7.
