Rich Gannon (pictured alongside the late Al Davis) joined Boomer & Craig this morning and had some pretty interesting things to say.

Gannon is of course an analyst on CBS and can be heard this Sunday when the Texans and the Titans hook up in Tennessee.  He is also a former Raider and he gave his take on the trade with the Bengals (Who Dey!!!) that landed Carson Palmer in the Sliver & Black.  Gannon even managed to sneak a subtle shot in at Boomer, which Craig seemed to like.

Gannon also got a few things off his chest about the Jets and head coach Rex Ryan.  Gannon was rather critical of Ryan, making it clear he is not a fan of the outspoken coach’s over-the-top bravado.

Gannon didn’t stop there though. He went on to talk about the progress, or lack of progress, seen so far out of third year QB Mark Sanchez.

On a lighter note, Craig asked Gannon to compare being inducted to the Delaware Hall of Fame to working with Boomer.  Although I am not in any sort of HOF myself (yet) – having worked with the Blonde Bomber for the last 4-plus years, I can tell you it’s the cat’s meow…

Before saying goodbye, Gannon talked about dressing up as Boomer for Halloween and his unusually large cranium…
