Mike DeVito A Game-Time Decision For Jets; Mangold Expected To Play

NEW YORK (WFAN/AP) — Jets coach Rex Ryan expects center Nick Mangold to play Sunday against the San Diego Chargers after being limited in practice on Friday.

Mangold did not practice the previous two days as he continues to recover from a high right ankle sprain that sidelined him for two games.

He has played in two games since returning, but the injury hasn't completely healed.

For defensive end Mike DeVito, the news isn't as promising.

DeVito injured a knee when he got caught up in a pile at practice earlier this week. He did not practice Friday and Ryan says DeVito had an MRI that "checked out fine."

"He came back out to practice yesterday, but today he was sore," Ryan said. "That's why he never practiced. We'll see how that goes, but I'm thinking that could be a game-time decision."

Rookie Kenrick Ellis would start in DeVito's place if the veteran defensive lineman can't play.

Do you think Ellis is ready to start? Sound off in the comments below...
