NEW YORK (WFAN/AP) — Right-hander Ryota Igarashi’s time in New York is over.

He has been given an unconditional release, the Mets announced on Friday.

The 32-year-old was 4-1 with one save and a 4.66 ERA in 45 relief appearances this season, his second with the Mets. He was 5-2 in two seasons with New York.

The Mets also assigned infielder Valentino Pascucci and right-handers Dale Thayer and Manny Alvarez to Triple-A Buffalo.
