Craig boldly declared today to be the best day of the week — and it’s only Monday. This stems from the Jets’ 27-21 win over the Chargers, which had Craig all sorts of fired up.
So when Jerry Recco began his first update of the morning, we all had the suspicion that Mr. Carton was going to be animated throughout. Right on cue, Jerry provided some play-by-play courtesy of Jim Nantz, which set Craigie off.
He had more than a little fun at the expense of Mr. Nantz, who I’m beginning to think probably doesn’t care all that much for Craig.
We got to listen to some post-game audio from Plaxico Burress, who burned the Chargers for three TDs and Mark Sanchez, who coincidentally threw those scoring tosses to Plax.
Rex’s pal Norv Turner also chimed in about some bang-bang plays.
From there we heard about the explosive interview that took place right here on the FAN this past Friday, when Darrelle Revis joined Mike Francesa. Boomer & Craig tried to wrap their head around the ongoing feud, which has taken on a life of it’s own.
Jerry then offered a some more news from Week 7, highlighted by a couple of record-breaking performances beginning with Cowboys rookie RB DeMarco Murray, who ran for 253 yards against the Rams, and Drew Brees who went crazy in the Saints’ 62-7 win over the Colts.
From there Craig was certain bring up Boomer and his NFL Week 7 Picks-Picks-Picks as he dominated the Blonde Bomber…
