Craig was very pleased when Al Dukes brought this item to his attention: it was 25 years ago today that Mookie Wilson hit a weak ground ball down the first base line that proved to be a little too much for Red Sox first baseman Billy Buckner to handle.

The result would forever alter both players’ lives and eventually propel the Mets to their second World Series title.

Craig wanted to hear the famous play-by-play cut of the late Bob Murphy calling the action, while he and Boomer reminisced about the proud franchise moment.
