NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – This Thanksgiving, you’ll be grateful for Local Roots NYC’s community supported agriculture program. They’re making holiday dinner easy with their pop-up shop.
At the pop-up shop in Brooklyn, you’ll be able to order locally grown and prepared Thanksgiving food—such as turkey, fruit, vegetables, bread and baked goods—for your own Thanksgiving dinner. Additionally, all orders come with Local Roots NYC’s favorite thanksgiving recipes and a sample of mulled spices.
You can order food online, by email or by phone and choose to either pick it up in Brooklyn, or have it delivered.
You’ll not only be receiving fresh poultry and produce that is organic and sustainable, but also you’ll be supporting the area’s local farmers, who are still recovering from Hurricane Irene. But if you want in, you better hurry. Thanksgiving orders must be placed by Friday.
