Suspect Steals Gun From Off-Duty NYPD Cop

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — An off-duty police officer is recovering from an assault by a suspect who stole his gun.

Police say the officer struggled with the suspect just before 11 p.m. Thursday at Riverside Drive and 91st Street.

Reportedly, shots were fired but it’s not clear yet who fired them. Police say the suspect then took off with the officer’s gun.

No word on any other injuries or the condition of the officer. So far there’s been no arrest.

    Great another gun out there by a cop.i’m glad i have mine .pretty soon every criminal out there will be armed thanks to law enforcement.
