Ryan Leaf is unfortunately remembered for all the wrong reasons, which is partly why he made the trip to the Allstate Studio this morning to sit down with Boomer & Craig.

Since being drafted No. 2 overall behind Peyton Manning in the 1998 NFL Draft, safe to say things have not gone how Leaf imagined they would. And he is certainly not alone in those thoughts.

After a successful college career at Washington State, the sky was the limit for Leaf, who was considered by some as a better prospect than Manning.

Following an epic fall from grace, Leaf has gotten his life back on track. He joined Boomer & Carton to promote his new book -  ’596 Switch: The Improbable Journey From The Palouse To Pasadena’ and talk about his journey — which has included having the time of his life while attending college, his pro football failures, going down as one of the biggest busts in NFL history, substance abuse problems, his ongoing battle with a malignant brain tumor, his current financial state and just about everything else in between…
