Fumes Force Evacuation Of Building On 42nd Street

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Four people were treated after more than 100 people were evacuated from a building on 42nd Street between 8th and 9th Avenue.

The evacuation was prompted by an odor at 330 West 42nd Street.

FDNY and EMS officials responded to the scene.

The fumes were apparently caused by a contractor who was stripping paint in the nearby Port Authority Bus Terminal, 1010 WINS reported.
