Jury Deliberating In East Village Parking-Punch Trial

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Jurors continue to deliberate in the trial of the man accused of punching a woman in a dispute over an East Village parking spot.

Victim Lana Rosas ended up brain-damaged after falling to the ground.

Deliberations began Friday in Oscar Fuller's assault case.

Fuller and Rosas faced off in February over a parking space she was trying to save for her boyfriend.

Prosecutors say Fuller hit the woman in the face out of anger. She fell, hit her head and was in a coma for about a week. The 25-year-old still wears a helmet because of her injuries.

Fuller says he hit her after she struck first. His lawyer says prosecutors haven't proven the 35-year-old electrician intended to cause a serious injury, as the assault charge requires.
