NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Kids can outgrow a number of childhood health problems, from food allergies to asthma but for grownups, there’s another condition that has to do with your ability to focus that often goes undiagnosed and can wreak havoc on your life.

ADHD — or Attention Deficit & Hyperactivity Disorder — is a neurological condition that most people think only affects kids but in fact millions of adults also have it.

The symptoms can be frustrating in children but doctors say in adults with ADHD they can have devastating consequences.
