Gotham Gossipist: Anti-Kardashian Petition Picks Up Steam

By Kimberly Rae Miller

Could the Kim and Kris divorce be the last stop in the Kardashian gravy train?

According to Yahoo News, a grassroots effort to have the Kardashian kicked off the boob tube (or in their case it's more like butt than boob).  Kourtney and Kim Take New York may just be the last Kardashian season the E! Network airs.

Cyndy Snider, the creator of the online petition told  Yahoo News,"In a grass roots effort, we have collected [thousands of] signatures for a petition asking E! Entertainment to remove the Kardashian suite of shows from their programming." Snider continued, "We feel that these shows are mostly staged and place an emphasis on vanity, greed, promiscuity, vulgarity and over-the-top conspicuous consumption."

The Kardashians are vain?

No.

The anti-Kardashian movement leader also deemed it important to remind the public that the Kardashians are famous because Kim had sex on tape, "While some may have begun watching the spectacle as mindless entertainment or as a sort of 'reality satire,' it is a sad truth that many young people are looking up to this family and are modeling their appearance and behavior after them," Snider continued. "I'll remind you here that the Kardashian family fame largely started with a 'leaked' sex tape."

While it would probably take a few million signatures to get the Kardashian clan canned, the movement has tens of thousands of supporters.  If you'd like to add your name to the petition visit http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/no-more-kardashian/sign.html.
