NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — There’s a lot to take in around New York City during the Christmas season.
If you can’t make it to Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller Center and St. Patrick’s Cathedral this year, there’s an attraction which conveniently puts all of the city’s holiday highlights in one spot.
It’s the Holiday Train Show at the New York Botanical Garden.
Now in its twentieth year, the annual extravaganza showcases model trains traversing replicas of New York landmarks like the Brooklyn Bridge, Rockefeller Center and Radio City Music Hall.
Opening on Saturday, this year’s exhibition features over a dozen large-scale model trains running on nearly a quarter mile of track.
New this year is The Artist’s Studio vignette, a special look behind-the-scenes of the creation of the train show. The exhibit is open until January 16.
