From Boomer & Carton
Although we normally try to steer clear of obvious cliches here on the Morning Extravaganza, with Thanksgiving being celebrated tomorrow, I think I speak for the entire staff when I say we are all ‘thankful’ that Rex Ryan is here in New York.
The last couple of days the Jets outspoken head coach made the decision to allow his backup, 41-year-old QB take a few snaps with the first team in practice and – despite his great relationship with Mark Brunell – starting QB Mark Sanchez was not happy.
Rex’s feather-ruffling decision provided Boomer & Craig with a ‘hot-button’ topic to open up today’s radio program. Craig questioned Rex’s motives for embarrassing his third-year QB, while Boomer called it a wake-up call and said Rex sent a clear message.
With that said, Boomer sees Rex’s ‘Gang’ getting back on track after losing two games in a row and reeling off three straight, beginning this Sunday against the Bills (Week 13 @ Washington & Week 14 vs. Chiefs).
More from the Jets practice facility, or actually a story about a certain wide-receiver that wasn’t in Florham Park. Plaxico Burress was excused from practice to attend a charity event and Boomer & Craig don’t think that adds up.
Capping off a well rounded Show Open, Boomer filled Craig in on all of the fun he missed last night when the Blonde Bomer took the staff (minus Craig & Jerry Recco) to make our own wine (see picture below). Craig seemed a little upset after learning that his name did not come-up once throughout the evening….
