Gotham Gossipist: Lady Gaga's LES Apartment for Rent
One Little Monster could have something to be very, very thankful for this Thanksgiving—they could live it up Gaga style in the Lower East Side.
The one-bedroom Lower East Side apartment that one Ms. Stefani Germanotta started her music career is on the market, and you could rent this prime real eastate for $1,850 a month.
The Stanton Street property is being shown by agent, John English of CitiHabitats, and it's not such a bad deal for the price. The apartment is located near the Bowery Ballroom, and has a small, yet decently sized by LES standards, bedroom; a combo kitchen/living room, and an itty-bitty bathroom.
In an interview with MTV, Gaga spoke of her former habitat, "It was like I had to go lick the ground [on the LES] for a few years to understand New York City and a whole different side of the pavement."
"I wanted to live alone -- live in solitude with my music," Gaga said of her the apartment she paid $1,100 a month for. "I wanted to read poetry and be overly dramatic about everything and that's what I did."
