Police: Queens Suspect Shot & Killed Another Man Prior To Bus Shooting

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) –Two men were killed and another was critically injured Friday afternoon following shootings in Queens.  The suspect, however, is under arrest.

Around 4 p.m., a shooting on board a Metropolitan Transportation Authority Q-111 bus near Parsons Boulevard and Archer Avenue in Jamaica left one man dead and another critical.

A Violent Day In Jamaica. 1010 WINS’ Glenn Schuck Reports.

1010 WINS’ Glenn Schuck reported that the 34-year-old suspect is also believed to be responsible for a shooting several blocks away at a public housing complex on Guy Brewer Boulevard in which an 18-year-old man was killed.  That shooting happened around 3:40 p.m.

The gunfire in the middle of a busy Friday afternoon in Queens left people running for cover.

“Right before we crossed the street, heard about 3, 4 pops and what we know, we’re hearing living in neighborhoods like this we knew it was gunshots,” one man told Schuck.

There is still no word on what may have promoted the deadly violence outside Jamaica Station.  A 9-millimeter gun was recovered at the scene.

The injured man was taken to Jamaica Hospital.

We’re all eating as though we are living in Africa. Eat your GREENS and FRUITS, etc. people…it’s what separates us from the Savages of the Savannah.

Please get your reporting correct. A simple check of the MTA Queens Bus Map shows that the Q111’s subway drop-off is on Archer at PARSONS, not Sutphin.

What’s the difference? That whole area is West Indian gangland. (In other words: not exactly Mr. Roger’s neighborhood.
