NEW YORK (CBS 2) – A man was shot and killed in the Bronx early Sunday morning, police said.

At 5:55 a.m., police responded to a 911 call of a man shot in front of 266 White Plains Road in the Soundview section of the Bronx. Upon arrival, they found a 26-year-old black male with a gunshot wound to the neck.

EMS responded and transported the victim to Jacobi Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
