Presumed Armed Man Wanted For 3 Violent Attacks Dating To Mid-October

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — The NYPD released a chilling video Thursday night of a rape suspect sneaking up on his latest victim.

LISTEN: 1010 WINS’ John Montone reports

A woman was walking on 154th Street in the Jamaica section of Queens early Wednesday morning when she was attacked. The victim is seen being grabbed from behind, with a sharp object placed to her back, and then forced into a secluded location where the suspect tried to rape her, police said.

Police released a sketch of the predator, who is wanted for two other rapes in the same neighborhood — one last month and another in October.

Police said in the attack on Nov. 15 on 142nd Street the suspect told his 27-year-old victim he had a gun and then forcibly raped her.

In the October attack, police said the suspect used a similar approach, grabbing a 20-year-old woman near Merrick Boulevard and forcing her behind a dumpster before assaulting her.

The suspect is described as a male black, between 25 and 30 yards old, around 5-foot-5 and weighing approximately 220 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black pull over hooded sweatshirt and a white and blue striped scarf.

Anyone with information in regards to any of these incidents is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.

The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers Website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
