Homeowner Says Holiday Gifts Stolen From Outside Of House

HICKSVILLE, NY (CBSNewYork) — A Scrooge ran off with some holiday gifts at a home on Long Island.

LISTEN: Sophia Hall reports

John Blazich caught it all on video. A man in a silver car slowly driving by his home then into his driveway and within seconds, stealing the package that was delivered to his home.

“On the security camera you could clearly see the package was between the screen and interior door,” said Blazich. “They opened that up and took the package and ran. The whole thing took 15 to 20 seconds.”

Inside that package were gifts for family members.

“It was really just women’s sweaters and children’s clothes that were for Christmas,” Blazich said. “It’s annoying, we had to re-order them.”

Authorities said to avoid becoming a victim, have packages delivered to your office or have a neighbor who is home most of the day pick it up.

Nice suggestion, unfortunately due to tight security everywhere, most if not all office buildings do not allow personal package deliveries.

Thats just down right terrible but that is what liberism has got you, bold and brash thieves whom know that they will only get a slap on the hand and a hot bowl of soup. If I ran the show my way this type of crime would be a capital offense, one and dead. Gaurentee it wont happen twice. Say what you want about nationality but our local homebreed swatz is the proplem.
