NJ Woman Foils Carjacker With Quick Maneuver

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) -- Quick thinking by a woman in Essex County helps police nab a carjacking suspect.

Authorities say 22-year-old Isaiah Green of Newark grabbed a woman in South Orange Saturday afternoon and forced her to drive toward Newark.

While driving, the victim saw an Essex County Sheriff's vehicle and purposely crashed into it, sending Green fleeing on foot. He eluded police in Vailsburg Park but was arrested several hours later.

Green has been charged with robbery, carjacking and other offenses. He was being held on $250,000 bail.
