NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – A 24-year-old man is accused of installing a hidden camera in a bathroom of a Carle Place lighting store.

Police said Wilson Lopez, of Levittown, placed a camera under a bathroom toilet and videotaped female employees of Elements Lighting using the restroom.

1010 WINS’ Al Jones reports

“He was attracted to one of the people that worked there and it was his intent to record her while she was in the act of using toilet,” Det. Lt. Ray Cote said.

Police said a janitor at the Glenn Cove Road store discovered the camera propped up on a bench across from the toilet and alerted authorities.

The video from the camera revealed Lopez allegedly placing the camera under the toilet.

Lopez was arrested Thursday and charged with unlawful surveillance.
