FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez was a full participant in practice, as expected, while running back Joe McKnight sat out with a separated shoulder.
Sanchez, who injured his neck in the Jets’ 45-19 loss at Philadelphia on Sunday, took all but a couple of snaps Tuesday as the team prepares for its showdown with the Giants. He says the injury is similar to the one that landed him on the injury report a few weeks ago. Coach Rex Ryan says it might have been a stinger or a burner, but Sanchez says he’s not sure.
McKnight, the NFL’s top kick returner, separated his right shoulder against the Eagles, and his status for Saturday was uncertain.
Wide receiver Jeremy Kerley (illness) and right guard Brandon Moore (hip) also didn’t practice.
