B&C Morning Show: Boomer's Thoughtful Gift, Jerry's Informative Update
The entire morning show staff - excluding Craig - were thrilled to receive a thoughtful, great-smelling gift from Boomer for the holiday season. The Blonde Bomber sent each of us a 'Rosy Ring Candle' (pictured along with my daughter) with the thought that each and every time we light it, we'll think of him.
Now you see what I meant by thoughtful.
As you could probably imagine Craig had a problem with it, apparently he isn't familiar with the 'never look a gift horse in the mouth' saying.
Anyway, before Jerry Recco could begin his well-prepared update, Craig searched for an ally only to learn that everyone else on the staff truly appreciated the gift from the Booms and that he was all alone.
Jerry then began his update by chronicling the trash talking between the Giants and the Jets, which was given some juice yesterday when Tom Coughlin threw his hat in the ring. Coughlin actually began yesterday's media session in a festive mood, but was eventually asked about Rex Ryan's big fat mouth and he responded.
Coughlin's remarks were relayed to Rex, who responded and by doing so turned the exchange into a true 'war of words.'
We learned that Santonio Holmes has his coach's back, while Plaxico Burress talked about scoring multiple touchdowns on Saturday. While setting up the bold Plax prediction, Jerry used the term 'score the ball' - a term neither Boomer or Craig had ever heard before and that led to an in-depth discussion.
Victor Cruz is taking this game very seriously. We heard all about how Cruz and his pass catching mate Hakeem Nicks aren't fearful of Darrelle Revis, while Brandon Jacobs and Antrel Rolle have elected to remain tight-lipped leading up to the game.
Plus, Jerry Jones talks about being scared of the Eagles, the Knicks downed the Nets 88-82 in final tune-up before the regular season gets underway, Kobe Bryant's status is up in the air, St. Johns beat Texas Pan Am 66-61, TCU 31-24 over Louisiana Tech in the Poinsettia and Rangers-Islanders tonight at the Garden...
