Cops Looking For Suspects Wanted In Bronx Fatal Shooting

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police in the Bronx are searching for two suspects who are wanted for the murder of a hard-working immigrant father.

Anselmo Parras, 51, had an apartment in Fordham and worked in a Bodega.   Police say two men followed him home Wednesday and burst into his apartment, looking for cash.

Parras and his roommate ran to the bedroom and shut the door. Police say the men fired a gun through the door, killing Anselmo.

"He tells me his last words, Kenny, don't let me die. Please, I want to live," he said.

Parras' relatives are now packing his belongings to send to the Dominican Republic where his 11 children live.

He was supporting them with his Bodega job.

The investigation is still ongoing.
