Giants Facing Injury Crisis Ahead Of Saturday

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (WFAN/AP) — The New York Giants are facing a multitude of key injuries ahead of Saturday's match-up with the New York Jets.

Tight end Jake Ballard, defensive end Osi Umenyiora and linebacker Mark Herzlich are all set to miss out. Umenyiora and Herzlich have been out for weeks with ankle injuries.

Ballard sprained a knee late in last weekend's loss to the Washington Redskins.  Backup tight-end Bear Pascoe is expected to start in place of Ballard on Saturday.

Mario Manningham, who had three catches for 57 yards against the Redskins, did not practice this week because of a recurring knee injury and is listed as doubtful.  If Manningham is inactive against the Jets, the Giants' passing game will suffer as Eli Manning will be without two key targets in Ballard and Manningham.

Can the Giants persevere without their injured talent and defeat the Jets?  Or does this give the Jets' the advantage?  Share your feelings below…
