Learn How To Help Injured NYC Firefighter In Need Of Blood

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- One of New York City's bravest injured battling a blaze in Brooklyn last week is now in need of blood donations.

Firefighter Robert Wiedmann suffered burns on over 50 percent of his body last Monday in Crown Heights and now he will need several operations over the next 6 to 8 weeks.

Wiedmann remains at New York Cornell Medical Center's Burn Unit and surgeons are said to be in serious need of Type O blood for his operations.
