NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Police are looking for a suspect in the sexual assault of a woman in Springfield Gardens a day before Christmas.

The suspect, believed to be between 18 and 24-years-old, followed a 47-year-old woman off a bus near 140 Avenue and Coombs Street on Dec. 24 around 6:40 p.m. and then sexually assaulted her, police said.

The suspect, who was last seen wearing a dark colored coat, dark colored pants, white sneakers, and a black back pack, fled in a unknown direction.
