NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – A police officer made a shocking discovery Sunday night after confronting a man he saw skipping a subway fare in Times Square, authorities said.
Allen Reggie, 33, of Columbia, S.C., was arrested after the officer recovered not only a fully loaded Smith & Wesson .45-caliber handgun but also a loaded Intratec Luger Tec-9 machine gun in his bag, police said.
The officer stopped Reggie after observing him entering the 42nd Street subway station around 5:25 p.m. without paying the fare, police said.

Reggie has been charged with several counts of criminal possession of weapons and ammo.
