B&C Morning Show: Jerry's Update Focuses On Tears, Captains, Playoff Prep And More...

Like him or not, Rex Ryan has made a name for himself in the Tri-State area by wearing his emotions on his sleeve. And according to Jets guard Matt Slauson, Rex's emotions got the best of him yesterday while addressing his team after their 8-8 campaign.

Jerry Recco began his first update of the New Year by recapping the Jets' day at Florham Park.  We heard from the aforementioned Ryan and Slauson, as well as GM Mike Tannenbaum and quarterback Mark Sanchez, who reportedly had an argument with Santonio Holmes leading up to Sunday's Dolphins game.

Meanwhile, the Giants are busy preparing for their 1st round match-up with the Atlanta Falcons this Sunday and we got to hear from Tom Coughlin talk about the work that has to be done.  Coughlin also marveled at the progress Victor Cruz has made in such a short period of time.

Justin Tuck took to calling the Falcons offensive-line a bunch of 'dirtbags,' while Antrel Rolle warns everyone to beware of Big Blue.

From there Jerry ran through some more NFL news, Steelers RB Rashard Mendenhall (torn ACL) will miss the postseason, Bucs fire Raheem Morris, Rams can Steve Spagnuolo and the Colts let go of Team Vice Chairman Bill Polian and his son Chris who served as GM.

Plus, a college football bowl round-up, a recap of yesterday's Winter Classic - which was won by the Rangers 3-2 over the Flyers - and the Knicks 90-85 loss to the Raptors...
