Reports: NFL May Fine Jets’ Bart Scott For Middle Finger

NEW YORK (WFAN) — The NFL is investigating Bart Scott’s obscene single-digit salute in the Jets’ locker room Monday, according to multiple reports.

After packing up his belongings, Scott was asked about a report that he likely wouldn’t be back in 2012.

“All I know is I’ve got a guaranteed contract for $4 million,” Scott snapped as he was walking out.

“Take a picture of this,” he added, while sticking out his middle finger at a newspaper photographer.

A fine reportedly may be issued by the league. In 2010, the Jets fined head coach Rex Ryan $50,000 for flipping fans the bird at an MMA event during Super Bowl week.

Ryan was fined $75,000 by the NFL this season for telling a heckler to “shut the (bleep) up” at MetLife Stadium. That incident, which occurred during halftime of the Jets’ 37-16 loss to the New England Patriots, was caught on tape and uploaded to YouTube.

Should the NFL fine Scott? Sound off below…

its a high powered highly charged game..they expect the players to go out and act like bulls who want to gore someone, then also be gentlemanly and overly sprtsmanlike on the fireld and to reporters and me the two just dont filt hand in hand..if this is waht is expected, then they all shoud do the “tebow” thing and bend on their knees in prayer before and afte each play! a fine is hjust like slapping a childs hand and saying now dont yo do that anymore!!!!
