Mets Re-Sign Reserve Outfielder Scott Hairston
NEW YORK (WFAN) -- Scott Hairston will be back on the Mets' bench in 2012.
New York re-signed the backup outfielder to a one year 1.1M deal on Thursday, reports WFAN's Jon Heyman.
The deal is pending a physical.
The 31-year-old hit .235 with seven home runs, 24 RBIs and eight doubles in 79 games last season. He suffered a season-ending oblique injury in late-August.
