WALLINGFORD, Conn. (CBSNewYork/AP) – A person is dead after being hit by an Amtrak train in Connecticut.

Amtrak spokesman Cliff Cole says the train on the New Haven-Springfield line struck the trespasser Friday morning in Wallingford. None of the 25 passengers or crew was injured.

Service was restored around 1:30 p.m. It had been suspended as police investigated the incident. Amtrak says normal service is expected for the afternoon and evening commute.

This is the second railroad fatality in Wallingford since Dec. 5.
