This receipt was posted by Twitter user Minhee Cho (@mintymin) on Jan. 7, 2012.

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) – A Papa John’s customer said an employee at the local pizza joint served a Harlem resident a hot slice of racism.  When Minhee Cho, 24, ordered a pizza from the chain restaurant she was surprised to see that her receipt identified her using a racial slur referring to her eyes.

Cho posted the receipt on Twitter, where it has received over 100,000 views. Along with the picture, she tweeted, “Hey @PapaJohns just FYI my name isn’t “lady chinky eyes”.

The photograph clearly shows, however, that’s exactly what the employee listed her as.

“I don’t think a giant corporation should write those things on a receipt,” Cho told The New York Post. “That’s poor management. It was surprising to see that on paper; if they had said it in person, it would have been worse.”

“I probably would not go there again, because they would probably spit in my food,” said Cho, who is Korean.

A manager who identified himself as, “Jerome,” at the restaurant on Broadway near West 142nd Street told the Post that the slur was business as usual.

“It’s a busy place, and it was a way to identify her and her order,” he said. “You know, we do stuff like that sometimes. We’ll write ‘the lady with the blue eyes’ or ‘the guy in the green shirt.’ ” He said the teenage cashier meant no harm.

As a result of Cho’s Tweet, the restaurant received a barrage of prank phone calls which they say has affected their ability to do business.

“It’s affecting how we work,” Jerome complained. “This is a place of business. I truly don’t think it’s fair what she did; it’s just crazy.”

“I think the lady put it out there just to get some attention, some people like that type of attention. I truly don’t think it’s fair. It’s been taking up all our time. It’s been very disruptive.”

“It just seems that he’s annoyed that they’re getting a lot of calls. I think the racist thing just caught fire,”said Cho.

Papa John’s apologized via Twitter and said that the offending employee has been fired.

    Why should this surprise you?!

This idiot must listen to the number one ranked idiot radio host who is always screaming “Chicomm” on his national radio program. And of course, monkeys doing what they see, the other less stellar radio hosts follow the head dolt.

These same dolts and monkeys would never dare pull this on blacks, Mexicans (the the like) and most especially the Jews – - by nature these dolts and monkeys and their minions (can you say Tea Party?) are cowardly hypocrites.

Too bad Asians don’t riot and pillage like, oh, I don’t know, La Raza and their ilk.

Asian slurs will escalate in the coming days . . . wait for it.

Good thing the Tea Party aren’t a bunch of racists. Wouldn’t want that.

Sounds like they need to also fire the manager. It’s sad that he sees this as an inconvenience for him and the store. Papa John’s needs to better their management training program.

  • Darren Hawaii

Sounds like they fired the wrong employee. The manager needs to be retrained in discrimination and harassment.

I guess it starts with the manager Jerome. The chain of command falls right up there with this dumbass Jerome. I guess he’s Black and a racist to the T. Jerome how about someone calls you dumbass Koonta Kentay on a Papa John receipt, huh. Let’s say that’s business as usual? Dumbass Koonta.

Sounds like Jerome is black. Wouldn’t be surprised if the fired teenager was black, too. Just sayin’
