Stamford Man Charged With Murdering His Sick Mother
STAMFORD, CT (WCBS 880) - Anthony Fiordelisi had been caring for his ailing, bedridden mother Marion for twenty years in their Stamford townhouse, with no hope that the 83-year-old woman would ever get better.

Stamford Police Lt. Diedrich Hohn says Anthony, who is 60-years-old, gave his mother a large amount of prescription pills and then took many of the pills himself.
"He wakes up in the morning and he's still alive. So, therefore, he goes into her room and slashes her wrist and then he goes into his in another attempt to kill himself," said Hohn.
Hohn says Anthony slashed his mother's wrists to make sure that she was dead has been charged in her murder.
Hohn says he told police that after twenty years of caring for his mother, he was very depressed and just couldn't take it anymore.
Anthony was treated at Stamford Hospital and held on $500,000 bond.
