Giants Fans Prepare For Big Partying Ahead Of Sunday's Big Game

PARAMUS, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Most fans will be watching the game at home and young or old, big or small, it seems everyone is rooting for the Giants on their road to Super Bowl glory.

CBS 2's Ann Mercogliano found out more Friday on how fans are getting ready for the game.

Giants excitement is at a fever pitch across the area. This Sunday, Big Blue will take on the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship game on the West Coast. Here at home, fans will be cheering on their G-Men.

Mercogliano found lots of blue preparations in the works, including Susan Biegen planning her big meal.

"We have six-foot heroes, we have trays of pasta, then there's huge salads, just hot dogs, hamburgers," she said. "We're having about 20 people over. My husband is the biggest Giants fan."

While wings are always a staple for watching the game, employees at Fairway in Paramus said the go-to food for Giants fans will always be the foot-long sub.

Greg Fila, co-owner of Anthony Franco's Pizza in Paramus, is a Cowboys fan, but is getting ready to serve Giants fans all weekend long.

"[It's] killing me, I don't even want (to be) in my own store," Fila said. "It gets crazy -- you got a lot of platters, a lot of pies."

"Any time the New York sports are in, it's exciting," Kevin Graves added.

Getting ready for the game even means primping for some. Folks are even requesting Giants blue nail polish.

Whether you're a Giants fan or not, one thing is for sure, a good football party and lots of spirit won't be too hard to find this weekend.
