Gotham Gossipist: Bald Cynthia Nixon Appears On Morning TV Show

By Kimberly Rae Miller

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- When I was a kid my dad would often wear a t-shirt that said "I'm not bald/I'm just taller than my hair."

Alas, it went the way of of my New Kids on the Block lunchbox and Debbie Gibson hat, but he still chuckles  when he thinks about it.

I have a feeling my dad and Cynthia Nixon would get along smashingly.  They have lots of things in common: They're both natural blondes, they both like cuddling up to the special lady in their life at the end of a hard day, and they're both bald as a cue ball.

Oh, right, Cynthia Nixon shaved her head.

Long gone are the red locks of her 'Sex and the City' years, these days Cynthia is going the low-maintenance route (common ladies, admit it, you've at least considered pulling a Britney on those exasperating hair days).

The decision to go hairless was a work-related one for Nixon, who is currently starring in a Wit on Broadway, where she plays a poetry professor undergoing experimental treatment for ovarian cancer.

She debuted her super smooth scalp to the world on Tuesday's episode of Live! with Kelly.  I have to admit, that woman has one nicely shaped head.

Few and far between are the the celebrities that call pull off the hairless look, but I think Cynthia may be one of them.

What do you think, is bald beautiful on Cynthia Nixon?
