BABYLON, NY (CBSNewYork) - Today’s high temperature will be around 50 degrees, which is well above normal for January 24, and that’s good news for some in the area.

Babylon Village on Long Island has a lot of foot traffic and with above normal temperatures and no snow, business owners are smiling.

That includes Happy, who is very happy his restaurant, Glen’s Dinette, is very busy.

“The last three years in a row really have been kinda tough. I, mean, snow has been a bit much. Everybody has their day. You know, I guess the ski resorts did better the past few years. This year, it’s our turn,” he told WCBS 880 reporter Sophia Hall.

Lucia Provenzano of Shabby to Chic Decor said, “I love showing off my stuff outside. It makes it nice and cozy and people do come out a little more.”
