Residents in the Williamsbridge apartment complex were in disbelief upon hearing the tragic news.

“I never think something happen like that,” one woman told 1010 WINS’ Terry Sheridan.

Some neighbors, however, said they often hear fighting inside the apartment.

“It’s crazy. I don’t know who would do that — these kind of people, right?” said another woman.

The Medical Examiner will determine the exact cause of death. Meanwhile, some reports indicate the boyfriend of the child’s mother is being questioned.
