Yorktown Police Searching For Missing Teen

YORKTOWN, NY (CBSNewYork) -- There's a desperate search in Yorktown for 18-year-old Kyle Jabusch who left his family's home in Mohegan Lake early Monday morning and hasn't been seen since.

According to published reports, Jabusch was reported missing by his parents, who said they last saw their son around 1 a.m. Monday inside their home on Morris Lane when they went to bed. When they woke up several hours later, they say he was gone.

The teen is a recent graduate of Yorktown High School and an avid runner. His family said he frequently runs near an old quarry off Grant Avenue.

On Wednesday, police said Jabusch left a note saying he was leaving, but didn't provide any details, according to reports. But his mother Kathleen Jabusch said her son wasn't in any sort of emotional state when she last saw him.

Nevertheless, authorities have said they fear for his safety and have used dogs to canvass the area in hopes of tracking down the missing teen.

Jabusch has blond hair and blue eyes, is six feet tall and weighs around 150 pounds.

If you have any information on where Jabusch might be, call the Yorktown Police Department at 914-962-4141.
