New NYC Exhibition Will Include Knife And Fork Belonging To Hitler

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A new local exhibition includes a silver knife and fork, once belonging to Adolf Hitler.

The cutlery was captured by U.S. forces and donated to the New York Historical Society after the war, by the American Jewish business leader, Carl M. Loeb.

The handles include Hitler's initials "A" and "H" as well as a symbol for the Third Reich.

The society says the display is intended to show America's triumph over tyranny and the pieces will be a part of the upcoming exhibition "Stories in Sterling."
